The Havening Techniques were developed by Dr Ron Ruden, MD in collaboration with his brother Dr Steven Ruden. The doctors are based in New York and running private medical and dental practices respectively.
Our past can get in the way of creating the life that we want and deserve. It can have a great impact on our decision-making and willingness to step outside of our comfort zone. Chronic work related stress, childhood loss, lack of sleep, financial concerns, an unexpected turn of events or crisis such as the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship or a job can be very traumatic and turn our world upside down.
For many of us our job description puts us on the front line. You may be a first responder, palliative care provider, nurse, emergency care giver, hospice worker, have a partner or a child with special needs or be the one who has the responsibly of making challenging decisions that impact yourself and others. These roles fill critical needs. We have to be able to think clearly and make decisions quickly. Living with this responsibility day to day can take its toll. Many of us learn to cope with these daily stressors rather than get the support we need to help rebalance our mind, heart, body and soul. We need to create the opportunity to rebuild a resilient landscape where we are able to relax, recharge, sleep peacefully and begin each day anew or these events begin to have an impact our well being and on our relationships.
